The charity takes pride in living by their values of always trying to be honest, open, passionate and experienced.

The charity’s 1-2-1 and group support includes Active Monitoring (CBT-type coaching), Mentoring, Counselling, and a wide range of peer support groups and social prescriptions such as ecotherapy and activity. These help people regain social skills and develop confidence.

We are deeply committed to our runners. We provide each participant with fundraising support, resources, and encouragement every step of the way. By choosing Bournemouth Foodbank, runners directly contribute to making a meaningful impact, helping ensure no one in our community has to face hunger alone.

HealthBus Trust
The HealthBus Trust is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing accessible, specialist healthcare to individuals experiencing homelessness in Bournemouth and surrounding areas.
Through its mobile healthcare service, HealthBus works in partnership with a multidisciplinary team, the local authority, and third-sector homeless service providers to deliver care directly to those in need, including people sleeping rough or in emergency accommodation.
The charity addresses a critical gap in healthcare, supporting individuals who face significant barriers and health inequalities that prevent them from accessing mainstream services.
HealthBus offers GP and nursing services to homeless individuals aged 18 and older, including basic health checks, wound care, blood tests (for Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, HIV, and Syphilis), assistance with medical appointments, medication support and prescribing, as well as sexual health services such as contraception advice and STI testing.
Our RUN4theBus Campaign invites local community members, runners, and partners to participate in the Bay Run event to help raise essential funds. Every pound contributed supports our mission to provide high-quality, patient-centred healthcare in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
We offer fundraising resources, support, and enthusiastic encouragement throughout your race journey. Join us in bringing hope, dignity, and positive change to some of the most marginalized and disadvantaged individuals in society.

VITALITY BOURNEMOUTH BAY RUNS ENVIRONMENTAL AIM
Overall aim
The Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run is committed to making the event as environmentally friendly as possible. One of the main affecters are single use plastics, at many running events plastic bottles are the most widely used form of hydration for participants. This year we are using boxed water and paper cups at all the water stations and canned water at the finish funnel to eliminate the use of single use plastic bottles and cups.
Recycling
There will be drop nets provided at points after each water station for the paper cups and all water station marshals are briefed to pick up any dropped cups from around their water station. These nets are picked up and all the contents will be recycled. At the finish there will be recycling bins for cans and litter pickers throughout Pier Approach.
Single use plastic
As mentioned previously in the overall aim there will be no plastic cups or bottles along the course or at the finish. We have chosen to not have our t-shirts bagged, they come in cardboard boxes. Previously our medals have been singularly bagged, now we have them bagged in 20’s. We have also opted for an online goody bag instead of a physical one, this way the participants get offers and adverts online without using unnecessary of plastic and paper.
Sustainable transport
Participants are advised through social media and in their race packs to use public transport, carshare, or walk or cycle to the event. There is a luggage marquee provided for participants to safely store their belongings if they do decide to opt for sustainable transport, they can leave their personal belongings and clothes in a safe place.
